The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: Construction of a War Museum and Convention Centre and land pooling for the proposed Varun Vihar residential scheme are among the key proposals to be considered at the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) board meeting scheduled for Monday. The meeting will be chaired by the divisional commissioner.

Under the proposal, landowners contributing at least 10 acres will receive 50% of the developed land in return. The land will be acquired through mutual consent, land pooling and other prescribed methods.

The board is also expected to consider proposals for conversion of agricultural land for residential use under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Scheme and approval of detailed project reports for integrated townships under the 2005 and 2014 policies and the Uttar Pradesh Township Policy, 2023. A proposal to change the land use of 0.75 hectares in Sector B of the Basant Kunj scheme on Hardoi Road will also be taken up to facilitate expansion of transport corporation infrastructure. Another proposal seeks replanning of land in Sector 7 of Gomti Nagar Extension, near the new campus of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, for the development of healthcare facilities. The agenda also includes replanning the weekly market and a residential plot in Sector 6 of Gomti Nagar Extension, revising layout plans of Nand Khera Complex and the Priyadarshini scheme, and framing a policy for selecting partner organisations to maintain LDA parks and green spaces.

The board will also consider a land-pooling policy for the IT City scheme and approve Phase II layout plans for the Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar schemes.
