Senior police officials said the threat appeared to be an attempt by someone to exploit the fear surrounding the Bishnoi gang and extort money from Bollywood personalities. The sender also issued threats to intimidate the actor. They suspect that an unidentified person may have impersonated the gang member or used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create a voice resembling his. Tusshar has informally alerted Mumbai police about the threat. Following this, the police protection branch enhanced security for the actor as well as his sister, film producer Ekta Kapoor . Officials, though, declined to disclose the category of security provided to them.
