Chief minister A Revanth Reddy at a review meet on student uniforms
They said delivery of items handled by one or two agencies had crossed 95%, with only a small portion remaining. Reviewing the distribution of uniforms and student kits across various departments, the chief minister noted that the quality of uniforms had improved significantly this year, with more appealing colours and designs than in the past. Officials informed the chief minister that distribution of uniforms, ties, belts, identity cards, shoes, socks, school bags, mats, plates, glasses and bowls was nearing completion.
The chief minister also called for a standard operating procedure for procurement and distribution of uniforms and student kits from the next academic year. He stressed the need for a time-bound schedule covering every stage, from finalisation of requirements and tendering to procurement and distribution. Emphasising timely delivery, Revanth instructed officials to prepare an action plan to ensure that uniforms and all essential student kits are made available on the very day schools reopen, eliminating delays witnessed in previous years.
