CM Devendra Fadnavis, accompanied by transport minister Pratap Sarnaik, Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole and senior MSRTC and Maha Metro officials, after signing an MoU
The development is proposed under a 90-year lease arrangement, officials said. The agreement was signed in the presence of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis , deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde , and transport minister Pratap Sarnaik.
Officials said the project will integrate the Metro station, Pune railway station, PMPML services and the MSRTC terminus into a seamless multimodal transport hub. The project will be executed through a PPP model after feasibility and financial assessments,” an MSRTC official said. Upon completion, the temporary MSRTC terminus at Wakdewadi will be shifted back to Shivajinagar. Revenue sharing will be linked to the value of MSRTC’s land and its investment in the project.
The latest timeline was announced after MSRTC and Maha Metro signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) on Wednesday to redevelop the Shivajinagar bus station into a ‘Bus Port’.
