Police recently added seven more people to the list of accused. The Youth Congress Adoor constituency president, who was arrested in a case alleging an attack on police, was granted bail by the Adoor magistrate court this week. The incident occurred when YouTuber Rajan Joseph was brought to the station following his arrest. A case was registered that day for obstructing police duty, but no further action was taken at the time. The FIR named only ‘persons identifiable on sight‘. The matter turned contentious after CPM obtained the station’s CCTV footage under the RTI Act. Sreenadevi has maintained that no misconduct took place at the station. Download the TOI App.
