He said, “It is a very unfortunate incident and looks like it was pre-planned within the family,” news agency ANI reported. The accused, identified as Indushekar, allegedly killed his wife Sunita, mother-in-law Roopavati, brothers-in-law Shivakumar and Shankar, their wives, both named Divya, and Shankar’s seven-year-old son, Puneeth, police said. “The investigation is on. The accused claims that he was humiliated by his wife’s side. It is definitely a twisted mind that has done the job. He has given the whereabouts of the bodies across the state,” Kharge added further.

BENGALURU: Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge on Friday said the accused in the Bengaluru family massacre claimed he was humiliated by his wife’s family, adding that the killings appeared to have been pre-planned.

The killings took place over two days at the accused’s house on 59th Cross, near Bahsyam Circle, in Bengaluru’s Srirampura locality, according to preliminary findings. Police said Indushekar allegedly first killed Sunita and dumped her body near Nandi Hills in Chikkaballapur district. Police suspect a prolonged domestic dispute over Sunita’s visits to her parental home may have led to the murders. He later invited his brothers-in-law to his house for a party and allegedly killed them, their wives, his mother-in-law and the seven-year-old boy.
