Since 2019, SRFTI has run 15 ITEC programmes under the MEA, training over 196 participants from 59 countries.

SRFTI VC Santosh Ajmera said: “Through its ITEC initiatives, SRFTI conducts intensive short-term training programmes covering various aspects of filmmaking and media practices. These programmes integrate academic inputs, practical workshops, expert interactions and collaborative learning, enabling international participants to develop understanding with hands-on exposure to contemporary media practices. SRFTI is actively contributing to our nation’s growing Orange-Economy, in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat, by fostering worldwide cultural dialogue in the space of the film and media studies sector through programmes like ITEC. The participants completed a study tour of the Kolkata Doordarshan campus and the Unesco World Heritage Site at Santiniketan, gaining practical media exposure and experiencing local cultural and artistic traditions.
