Kushtagi ( Koppal ): District minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Saturday warned officials of disciplinary action for negligence and delays in resolving public grievances, with 132 of the 3,150 complaints received at 22 Prajaseva Andolana meetings still pending. The district has disposed of 3,018 applications, accounting for nearly 95% of the grievances received so far. Highlighting the benefits of Article 371-J, he said the provision has helped students from the region secure medical and engineering seats while enabling many youngsters to obtain govt jobs through reservation.

Tangadagi said the programme would continue across the district and stressed the need for prompt action on public complaints. Kushtagi MLA Doddangouda Patil said people attend such meetings with the expectation that their grievances will be resolved. Officials must address issues in a manner that builds public confidence and ensures timely disposal of applications, he said.

Addressing a meeting organised by the Prajaseva department and district administration in Kushtagi, Tangadagi directed officials to prioritise applications seeking old-age pensions and ensure that grievances are addressed within the stipulated timeframe.
