GORAKHPUR: A 20-year-old woman worker was found hanging inside a finance company’s office in Easternpur Colony under Shahpur police station limits late Saturday, triggering protests by her family members and residents, who alleged that she had been murdered. On being alerted, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem examination.

Circle officer Gorakhnath Ravi Kumar Singh said the cause of the woman’s death was yet to be established. When she looked inside, she found her daughter hanging from a noose. The family alleged that the office manager was responsible for her death. The family also pointed out that CCTV cameras inside the office were switched off.
