Prayagraj : A 40-year-old man from Samda village was found brutally murdered near an under-construction house on Ram Van Gaman Path under the Manjhanpur police station limits in Kaushambi district on Tuesday, police said. In a separate incident, the body of a 28-year-old man was found under mysterious circumstances in a mango orchard in Marufpur village under the Kokhraj police station limits on Tuesday morning.

Police said the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Police said no external injury marks were found on the body. The deceased was identified as Shakeel Hasan. The body has been sent for postmortem. Three police teams have been formed to crack the case. The deceased, identified as Pradum, was unmarried and helped his father maintain the orchard. The body has been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Hasan had left home on Monday night to buy medicine for his younger brother but did not return, according to police.

Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police (Kaushambi), along with forensic experts, rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. His family members found his throat-slit body while searching for him and alerted the police.
