A ten-year-old boy died following an alleged school strangulation incident (Representative image generated using AI)
The incident took place on July 23 during the lunch break at the primary school in Pahadpur Sudhwar village under the Charwa police station limits, officials said.
District Basic Education Officer (BSA) Kamlendra Kushwaha said an inquiry was ordered into the incident.
The boy developed breathing difficulties after the alleged assault by a fellow student, according to the victim’s family. Additional Superintendent of Police Amit Singh said the victim’s family has lodged a complaint against the principal and teachers of the school. Following the boy’s death, authorities suspended the school’s principal and five teachers over alleged negligence, while the grieving family staged a protest on the school premises demanding strict action. Following the child’s death, his family members and villagers placed the body on the school premises and staged a protest, demanding action against the school authorities.
