An FIR was also registered against him at Amirgadh police station in Banaskantha in 2019 under Section 304 of IPC and Arms Act provisions. The ATS also found that he had spent around nine months in a Dubai jail in 2021 in connection with a drug-related case.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly told investigators that he was associated with the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang. The accused allegedly opened fire along with three associates, according to the ATS. An FIR had been registered against Sukhpinder Singh, a Punjab resident, at Sekhwan police station in Batala district in July. Several criminal cases have been registered against the accused in Punjab and Gujarat, including cases of attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, assault and offences under the Arms Act. Punjab Police have been informed about his arrest.
Ahmedabad: Gujarat ATS arrested a man wanted in a firing case registered in Punjab after tracing him to Palanpur, officials said on Tuesday.
