Bengaluru: Around 75 international universities will participate in Karnataka govt’s second study abroad event being held at Palace Grounds on Sept 6. Last year, 65 universities and around 3,000 students were part of the event. Of them, 10 students went to study abroad and another 33 received admission offers; 21 are awaiting admission offers and counselling process is under way for 251 students.
Australia and UK were the most popular destinations. Apart from university counselling, students will get guidance on visa, finance, loans, course/university selection, language/English proficiency and scholarship opportunities.
Last year, applicants were mostly postgraduate students who opted for courses such as cyber security, molecular medicine, artificial intelligence, business analytics, health administration, biotechnology among others.
