Bengaluru: Bengaluru is now home to Indian Railways ’ tallest residential building, a newly-constructed 25-storey staff quarters tower at MG Railway Colony. The 132-unit high-rise residential complex is developed by Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA). Meanwhile, RLDA invited fresh bids for the long-term lease and development of 34,517 sq m of railway land near Yeshwanthpur Railway Station under a revenue-sharing model. The land will be leased for 99 years for residential development. The tender has a reserve price of Rs 153 crore, with RLDA stipulating a minimum revenue share of 23%. As part of the project, the selected developer will also be required to redevelop the existing railway colony at an estimated investment of Rs 97 crore.
