Most of the field took advantage of the caution to make pit stops. McLaren, however, chose to keep both Piastri and Norris on track, a call that immediately raised questions over team radio and later proved costly. The championship picture is now finely balanced. Piastri, also hunting his maiden title, remains firmly in the mix despite dropping to third.
