The Los Angeles Lakers’ Buss family continue to clash over ownership issues as Jeanie Buss has gone against her siblings’ wishes to sell the remaining stake in the franchise to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner’s group. The clash has become public after Jeanie buss’ lawyer sent a letter to the rest of her siblings stating that they are not allowed to sell the remaining stake without her vote. As her other siblings have made a statement about it, many fans are divided about it.

Another fan wrote, “Sounds like some silver spooned adults trying to cash out on their “greatest privilege” who don’t actually care about the team. A few hours ago, as per reports, Jeanie Buss’ siblings, Johnny, Jimmy, Janie, Joey and Jesse, made a public statement that read as, “The Los Angeles Lakers have never been just a basketball team. They have been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. Our focus has always been on what we believe is best for the Lakers, the fans who have supported this franchise for generations and the greater Los Angeles community. The statement added, “Johnny, Jimmy, Janie, Joey and Jesse have made the decision to sell the family’s remaining stake, and we remain united in that decision. We intend to move forward thoughtfully, respectfully and through the appropriate process. Jeanie Buss’ legal team has not responded to the statement of her siblings yet fans remain divided on it. A fifth fan posted, “I’m with Jeannie this is what Dr Buss would have wanted keep the team somewhat in the family. If not it’s loses it’s lister greatest owner in sports history Dr. Buss.”
