The diamonds were not playing a background character

The tale of Georgina’s wedding accessories starts in a place far removed from fashion houses and red carpets, specifically in Botswana’s Kalahari, where a remarkable 342-carat rough diamond was discovered while working at Karowe mine. The 342-carat piece was eventually turned into 23 diamonds, among which there are five diamonds of more than 20 carats. Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele named the rough diamond Queen of Kalahari, marking it as exceptional due to its two qualities: D colour (the best type of colour for white diamonds) and flawless clarity.

Dangling on her neck and in her ears were sparkling stones from Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari, an extravagant high jewellery collection inspired by one of the most unique diamonds ever found. Collectively, the diamonds make up the Garden of Kalahari, which is included in Chopard’s precious jewellery sets. Scheufele did not decide to develop a diamond set in the commonly known way but treated the tremendously rich diamond as a flower, creating a luxurious garden from it. In another photoshoot, Georgina used multiple pieces of this collection and layered them on her neck, ears, and fingers, giving people the opportunity to admire the scope and execution of this spectacular diamond garden collection by Chopard. To some extent, the attraction of this collection lies in the fact that it is able to transform. For instance, detachable pendants from the necklace that feature heart-shaped and pear-shaped diamonds can be removed and attached to the earrings, making every little detail look absolutely iconic.
