Google has introduced the GoogleBook, a new line of laptops that operate on the Gemini platform, featuring Gemini Intelligence at their core. These devices aim to integrate artificial intelligence into everyday computing by leveraging the speed of the Chrome browser and the extensive library of Google Play apps. The design of the GoogleBook is modern and tailored specifically for the capabilities of the Gemini Intelligence platform, marking a significant step in the convergence of AI and personal computing.
Premium hardware and the ‘Glowbar’
Instead of searching through folders and apps, users can simply “prompt” Gemini to build a custom dashboard. Google says that it has partnered with industry players including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo to manufacture GoogleBooks with premium materials and high-end specs. Every GoogleBook will feature a signature “Glowbar” – a unique light strip that will showcase that it is a GoogleBook.
Google is bringing its Create Your Widget feature to the desktop. For example, if you are planning a family reunion, you can ask Gemini to organise your flight details, hotel info, restaurant reservations, and a trip countdown into one single, personalised widget on the desktop.
