The Asus Pad features a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display: The wider industry impact

Price of the tablet starts at Rs 45,990 and will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. In a press release, Asus said the tablet combines a 12.2-inch 2.8K OLED display, MediaTek D8300 processor, 9,000mAh battery and Android 16 in a slim and lightweight design. The company will start selling the Asus Pad in India from August 6 through Flipkart , Asus eShop, Asus Stores, Reliance Digital and authorised retail partners, along with no-cost EMI offers for buyers.

Expanding its Android tablet portfolio, Asus has finally launched the Asus Pad in India. Announced earlier this month, the new Asus Pad is a premium device aimed at entertainment, productivity, learning and creative work.

Key Features of the Asus Pad

The Asus Pad features a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 2.8K. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and boasts a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a MediaTek D8300 processor, complemented by 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options go up to 256GB of UFS 3.1, with the ability to expand via a microSD card up to 1TB.

Battery performance is robust, with a 9,000mAh capacity and 45W fast charging capabilities. Asus claims that the battery can charge from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes. Additional features include quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C connectivity, and the latest Android 16 operating system. The tablet is also compatible with the Asus Pen 2.0 stylus, enhancing its functionality for creative tasks.
