Nashik: Six boys from an ashramshala in Igatpuri taluka were reported missing on Thursday evening. They were located by school staff late that night, approximately two to three kilometers from the campus. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance have not been disclosed, but all six boys were found safe.
The classes of the ashramshala got over at 5pm, according to a person from the ashramshala who did not wish to be named. The boys, from class six and seven, were reluctant to go back to school, following a threat from a woman residing across their school, that she would make a complaint about them to their headmaster. The students are allowed outside for a short break after school hours. The six students, like others, had gone outside the school, and they came across a sugarcane plant in the veranda of a villager, who happened to be the police patil of the village. The boys cut a stalk of sugarcane from the plant to eat. Just then, the police patil’s wife saw this, and started scolding the boys. The ashramshala teachers and non-teaching staff started searching for the boys, and they were located around 11pm, about three km away from their school.
