Pilibhit : A case has been registered against a 30-year-old woman and six members of her family for allegedly killing her husband, whose body was found along a roadside in Kheri district on Saturday.
Police said the incident took place Friday evening when Avdesh Kumar, 35, a resident of Pachtaur village under Mohammadi police station, had gone to visit his wife Juli Devi at her maternal home in Chhapaura village under Pasgawan police station. Mohammadi circle officer Arun Kumar Singh told TOI that Avdhesh had been jailed in 2024 for allegedly killing his father-in-law’s elder brother and had secured bail six months ago. “An FIR has been registered against the accused under BNS section 103(1) (murder).
