Kanpur: IIT-Kanpur brought together more than 120 faculty members from higher education institutions through four sessions of the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme (NFLP). Aligned with the objectives of NEP 2020, the programme provides selected participants an opportunity to learn from experienced academic and institutional leaders and gain perspectives relevant to leading higher education institutions. Organised by the Office of Outreach Activities (OOA), IIT Kanpur, the programme is conducted under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP) of the Ministry of Education. NFLP is a five-day residential programme designed to strengthen academic leadership, institutional governance and professional capabilities among faculty members. Across the sessions, participants engage with a broad range of issues that shape the functioning and future of academic institutions.

With four sessions completed, IIT Kanpur will organise two more NFLP sessions in 2026, from September 14–18 and November 16–20.
