This year too, their home was decorated with fresh mango-leaf festoons and colourful lights as part of the celebrations. The family installed the deity and performed special traditional rituals associated with the festival. The gesture has drawn appreciation from villagers, who say it reflects the spirit of coexistence and mutual respect among communities. “Religions may be different, but humanity, love, friendship and brotherhood are above all boundaries.
