Dey claimed Naskar’s associates assaulted him in May 2022 and forced him at gunpoint to forfeit rights to a 350 sq ft flat for Rs 2.5 lakh. Beleghata Police registered an FIR on Aug 27 naming Naskar and 50 unidentified associates. Kolkata: Police have re-arrested Beleghata strongman Raju Naskar in an alleged extortion and property-grabbing case. The case follows a complaint by Arnab Dey, a resident of Abinash Chandra Banerjee Lane, who alleged that Naskar ran an organized crime syndicate to seize local properties.
