New Zealand to Host India A for Three Four-Day Matches

New Zealand will welcome India A for a series of three four-day matches in Christchurch starting October 24. This series serves as crucial preparation for both teams ahead of the senior sides’ upcoming two-Test series later this year.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has confirmed these fixtures while also releasing the schedule for the domestic Plunket Shield competition. The matches are scheduled to take place concurrently with India’s white-ball tour of New Zealand.

“The domestic red ball summer will also get an injection of international class as New Zealand A host India A for three four-day matches in Christchurch starting October 24,” NZC said in a statement. India are set to tour New Zealand from October to December for a busy multi-format assignment featuring five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests.

The India A matches will give players an opportunity to adapt to New Zealand conditions before the Test series.
