Three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej is set to take his music on the road with a multi-city India tour, Damrooh – Dance To The Cosmic Spirit , beginning in October and continuing through December 2026.
“ Damrooh is not a concert, it is a heartbeat,” Kej said. Sam Panchmukhi, National Creative Mentor at Wizcraft, said the production would introduce a new performance language to the Indian arena circuit. “ Damrooh reflects everything Wizcraft stands for — a show built to move audiences emotionally, not just visually,” he said.
“The Damaru has always represented the primal pulse of creation, and I wanted to build an entire world around that rhythm — one where orchestral music, nature and technology speak the same language. With immersive visuals, lighting, orchestral arrangements and sounds from different musical traditions coming together, Damrooh is being conceived as an experience that goes beyond a conventional live concert — one that places music, nature and technology in conversation with each other. Produced and promoted by Wizcraft, the arena tour will travel across Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai, with the shows expected to collectively reach more than 30,000 people. Kej will be joined by a line-up of international guest artistes, whose names are expected to be announced later. Moving away from a conventional concert format, Damrooh promises a fully seated and immersive orchestral experience centred on the themes of nature, ecological interconnectedness and cosmic energy. The production will bring together symphonic orchestration, cinematic music, electronic elements and indigenous sounds from across the world. The tour will also feature a range of instruments, including the Kora, Hang Drum, Sarod and Didgeridoo, alongside classical sitars. The music will be structured around five elements — orchestral instrumentation, indigenous world sounds, global voices, electronic textures and nature. The setlist will feature a mix of reimagined signature compositions and original works, anchored around the rhythm of the Damaru. The tour will support UNICEF, in keeping with Kej’s long-standing association with humanitarian and environmental causes.
