Assistant commissioner Mythri conducts a surprise inspection at food courts in Shivamogga on Tuesday
Since taking charge as assistant commissioner two weeks ago, Mythri has been working continuously on the ground.
Just a few days before the food court raid, she personally inspected several hotels, bakeries, and homeless shelters across Shivamogga to evaluate their sanitation conditions.
She granted food stall operators a 15-day deadline to rectify all deficiencies, warning that failure to meet safety standards within the given timeframe would attract direct disciplinary action. During the latest drive, the AC and her team inspected about two dozen outlets, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections of the food court. They examined whether shop owners and kitchen staff were complying with govt and food safety department guidelines. After identifying lapses in cleanliness and hygiene, the officer refrained from issuing immediate legal notices, opting instead to issue strict warnings on the spot.
