Josh Allen Launches Out of Pocket Studios (Getty Images)
Now, days before the Bills’ 2026 season opener, Allen has announced Out of Pocket Studios — a media venture where he holds the titles of CEO and executive producer. Steinfeld has spent years building a legitimate entertainment portfolio — acting credits in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sinners, and Bumblebee, plus executive producer credits across 30 episodes of Dickinson. Allen is signed with Buffalo through 2030.
Because i do go back and forth on it, i can’t say for sure ‘yes’ or for sure ‘no’ right now,.
The company’s debut project, “America’s Tailgate,” airs on CBS this Labor Day. Then, on September 9 — one day before the Bills kick off their regular season — “NFL Play Action” premieres on Paramount+. “Skydance Sports has given me a platform to turn the ideas I care most about into something real,” Allen said. In a previous conversation with CNBC, Allen said, “I do think it would be cool if you can keep it from a strictly broadcasting angle.
Josh Allen had a busy summer even before training camp opened. In April, he and wife Hailee Steinfeld welcomed their daughter, Harper Haize. The company, built in partnership with Skydance Sports, will develop entertainment, commercial, and experiential projects. Its first two shows are already in the pipeline, with a third on the way. Hosted by Nate Burleson alongside co-host Melanie Collins and correspondent Whitney Cummings, the special leans into the intersection of football, music, and celebrity culture. Allen himself is set to appear on it. The weekly show is hosted by Kyle Brandt and fitness and lifestyle personality Ally Love. The format deliberately sidesteps traditional game-breakdown territory. It blends football with food, fashion, and broader cultural conversations orbiting the league. Think less film room, more living room. A documentary about a Buffalo blizzard hero is also reportedly in development, which adds a personal, community-driven layer to what the studio is building. “We’re excited to share what Out of Pocket Studios has created so far, and for everyone to see what we’re building from here. Lindsey Cohen, who will run day-to-day operations as president of strategy and operations, gives the venture a structure that goes beyond a typical athlete vanity project. That question is worth sitting with. She is not just an actor married to a quarterback. She runs the business side of her career seriously. Allen clearly paid attention. His entry into media is structured — a named studio, a president handling operations, existing distribution deals with CBS and Paramount+, and shows that are actually ready to air. This is not an Instagram brand deal dressed up in business language. But yeah, I’d have to put some more thought into it. What Out of Pocket Studios represents right now is less a post-career pivot and more a parallel track — one he is running alongside a nine-year NFL career, a new marriage, and a five-month-old daughter. Whether he can sustain all three simultaneously is the real question. But based on what he has put together before a single regular-season snap, he is off to a credible start.
