Former minister Konda Surekha expressed her displeasure regarding her cabinet removal

Because action was being taken against her, surekha said it was unfair to remove veteran Congress leader G Chinna Reddy from the Planning Board post merely.

Surekha said no one had asked her to resign before the decision and questioned why she was not consulted. Calling the action unfair, she said it appeared to be an act of vendetta and questioned the release of a communication without a signature. Defending her daughter, Konda Sushmitha Patel, Surekha said her daughter’s personal views could not be linked to her. She said she was happy that three BC women had received key positions in the latest appointments.

She also questioned what action was taken against Congress leaders Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy and T Jagga Reddy when they made controversial remarks.
