A ferry boat named Anvari broke down mid-sea near Gateway of India.
It was towed by another ferry boat and all 38 people onboard were brought to shore safely. The incident occurred around 8.30pm when the ‘Anvari’ ferry, which had left for a half an hour joyride from the Gateway of India, broke down suddenly while returning. The boat was stranded about 1.5 nautical miles away from the shore. There were 38 people on board, including 34 passengers and four crew members.
