Pune police have arrested a 22-year-old man, Ritesh Hange, in connection with the murder of realtor Ketan Agarwal
PUNE: Pune Rural Police have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly being part of the conspiracy to kill realtor Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort in June, making him the third accused to be held in the case, officials said on Saturday. Police said Goyal, 20, and Choudhary, 22, allegedly pushed Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18, resulting in his death.
“During the investigation, it came to light that Ritesh was involved in the planning of Ketan Agarwal’s murder,” Pune Rural superintendent of police Sandip Singh Gill said. Hange has been arrested for his alleged role in the murder conspiracy, he said. The arrested man, Ritesh Hange, is a friend of Chetan Choudhary, who police allege was in a relationship with Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal.
Third arrest in Ketan Agarwal murder case
Another police officer said Hange had been involved in planning the murder along with Choudhary and Goyal. Police said Hange was aware of the earlier plan to attack Agarwal before the alleged killing.
