Muzaffarnagar: In a bizarre turn of events on a street in Aligarh, three men who robbed a young couple returned part of the loot, including phone and bike keys, after the father, Gaurav Kumar , told them that he and his wife were rushing their one-year-old son to a doctor.
The incident took place around 8am Friday when Kumar, 30, a daily-wager, was on his bike with his wife, 25, and son, who was suffering from high fever. The couple later alerted police, and an FIR was registered at Harduaganj police station under BNS 309-4 (committing robbery ), 115-2 (causing hurt) and 351-3 (criminal intimidation; serious threats such as death). The family was on the canal-side road near Mai village in Harduaganj area when they were stopped by the robbers. In a police complaint, Kumar stated that three men, also riding a motorcycle, intercepted their two-wheeler. Two of them were wearing helmets and Kumar claimed that he could clearly identify the robbers’ bike if produced before him.
