Agra: A tragic accident occurred on Friday night in Etah district, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a five-year-old boy. The incident involved a collision between a motorcycle and a roadways bus. In addition to the fatalities, three others sustained injuries in the crash. Police reported details of the incident on Saturday.
Shyam Sundar, 17, was riding the bike with his five-year-old nephew Arjun , friend Govind Kumar and cousins Julie and Varsha. The group was on its way to attend a Krishna Janmashtami programme in Etah when the accident occurred. The injured were rushed to the emergency ward of the govt medical college, where doctors declared Shyam Sundar, a resident of Datei village under Mirhachi police station, and Arjun, a resident of Ganganagar, dead on arrival.
We have taken the bus into custody, while its driver fled from the spot. An FIR has been filed against the unidentified driver and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident.” Etah DSP Kritika Singh said, “The bodies were handed over to their families after post-mortem on Saturday.
