Prayagraj: A 48-year-old man identified as Raju Vishwakarma, a resident of Ashapur, who was missing since Thursday, was found murdered near Muradipur canal bridge road under the limits of Kalyanpur police station in Fatehpur district on Saturday.
The investigations revealed that it was Pawan Vishwakarma who had taken Raju Vishwakarma on Sept 2 on the pretext of showing a prospective bride for his son, Rajkaran. Pawan returned alone and failed to provide a truthful account regarding Raju’s whereabouts, and a case concerning Raju Vishwakarma’s missing had subsequently been registered at Aung police station. Later cops found Raju Vishwakarma’s body near the Muradipur culvert within their jurisdiction on Saturday morning.
