District Collector Nishant Krishna, inspected several ongoing Water Resources Department projects in Madurai District.
On Thursday, the collector inspected the construction of permanent flood protection walls, including the Rs 13.6 crore project near TM Nagar in the Mattuthavani area and the Rs 13.62-crore project along both banks of Uthangudi tank surplus canal. He also reviewed the progress of the Rs 3.7-crore flood protection wall around Vandiyur tank in Lake Area Nagar and the Rs 3.46-crore renovation work on a branch canal of Periyar main canal at Othakadai.
