A 59-year-old land broker was reportedly assaulted by a business associate during a meeting on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred in Ahmedabad and is believed to be linked to a financial dispute concerning a land deal in Dholera. Details surrounding the altercation remain limited as authorities investigate the circumstances leading to the assault.
The land broker told police that when he asked one of the associates to discuss the pending accounts with his partners, he allegedly became angry and attacked him. Several people were present when an argument broke out. He alleged that the business associate kicked him in the chest, grabbed his shirt and assaulted him. During the scuffle, the broker was allegedly punched in the face, which caused two of his teeth to break. He fell to the ground, and when another business partner intervened, the associate allegedly assaulted him as well. The broker also alleged that the associate threatened to kill him before leaving the office.
The broker had gone with his business partners to an office near Science City Road to discuss and settle accounts related to a land transaction in Dholera, according to a complaint filed with Bodakdev police on Thursday.
