The accused took advantage of his position and the busy location to harass the minor, according to officials. The arrest followed a complaint regarding an incident that occurred in the vicinity of the railway terminus. Upon receiving the report, the Vepery police initiated an inquiry and identified Alexander as the suspect.
The police registered a case against Alexander under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Following his arrest, the accused underwent a preliminary investigation and was subsequently produced before a magistrate court and remanded in judicial custody.
