The Municipal Corporation of Delhi ordered sealing of illegal buildings exceeding four floors
The Delhi Fire Department received an alert about the collapse at around 1:30pm, following which emergency personnel and rescue teams were rushed to the spot to conduct search and rescue operations, according to police. The death toll in the Satya Niketan building collapse has risen to five, while 10 people have been rescued so far, police said.

All illegal constructions with more than four floors will be immediately sealed, and strict action will be taken against the guilty officials, leading to their immediate dismissal. Delhi Police have also registered an FIR against the alleged owner, Hariram, and others in connection with the incident.
