Madurai : A 16-year-old boy who went missing near Anaiyur was found dead in a pond near the sewage pumping station on Monday. Police have launched an inquiry to establish how he died and whether any foul play was involved. Police have not attributed responsibility to anyone and said all possibilities, including suicide and accidental death, remain under investigation. The cause of death will be established after the postmortem report, police said. Preliminary inquiries indicated that the boy had been acquainted with a girl from another community.
