The individual is a member of a group on Telegram in which morphed images were shared. Kochi: City police investigating the Thrikkakara morphing case arrested one more person on Monday.
The arrested person is Sanesh, 20, of Korattiyad in Alappuzha.
They suspect that Sanesh was involved in financial transactions linked to the morphed images, according to police. He was a BCom student in Mavelikkara. An eight-member special investigation team was formed to investigate the case based on Kochi city police commissioner’s directive.
The prime accused, Sreehari S, a second-year BBA Logistics student who is a native of Kilimanoor in Thiruvananthapuram, was previously arrested for allegedly morphing photographs and videos of teachers and female students of his college into obscene visuals using AI. On Monday, LDF student and youth organisations staged a protest march to the Thrikkakara police station alleging inaction.
