Bengaluru: A 20-year-old engineering student was found dead at his house in Vasantha Vallabha Nagar, Subramanyapura, Sunday midnight. Vedanth was pursuing BE (third semester) at a private college in Srinivasapura, south Bengaluru.

His businessman-father Shivakumar said Vedanth was at home as he had holidays for a month. Police said they are still not clear about the exact reason behind Vedanth’s death. His younger cousin was studying at the same college. No note was found. Download the TOI App.
The next morning, the cousin woke up to find Vedanth had left the room. He called Vedanth on the phone but received no response. He alerted family members, following which they searched the house. When Shivakumar went to a room on the second floor of the house, he found the door locked from inside. Alarmed, he looked through the window and saw Vedanth hanging inside the room.
On Sunday night, Vedanth and his cousin had dinner and were talking on first floor before going to sleep.
