Bengaluru: The city’s public transport network is set for a digital upgrade, with BMTC preparing to launch Namma BMTC App 2.0, which is expected to integrate bus services with major app-based mobility platforms, including Uber , Ola , Namma Yatri and Rapido.

BMTC is likely to launch the upgraded app Thursday, sources said. The integration will allow commuters using these platforms to access live BMTC bus tracking, plan journeys combining buses with autos and cabs, and potentially access integrated ticketing options. The corporation is also expected to introduce National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) services for BMTC buses.
