Starting October 1, Prayagraj airport will reinstate daily flights to Mumbai, significantly benefiting passengers traveling between Sangam City and India’s financial hub. Akasa Air is set to resume its Mumbai-Prayagraj service seven days a week, after previously operating the route just once a week on Mondays for several months.
The flight from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Prayagraj will take off at 12.55 pm and land at 3.15 pm. The fare for Tuesday’s flight was just over Rs 6,000. On the return journey, the aircraft will depart Prayagraj at 4 pm and reach Mumbai at 6.20 pm, with Tuesday’s fare listed at Rs 5,992.
Online booking for the daily Mumbai service has already begun on the Akasa Air website as well as other private travel booking platforms. The resumption is particularly significant as Saturday is presently the only day of the week when Prayagraj airport has no scheduled flight to or from any city. With Akasa restarting its Mumbai service on all seven days, flight operations will resume at the airport on Saturdays as well.
