Prayagraj : A 25-year-old woman climbed a 100-foot-high mobile tower in Umaria Badal village of trans-Ganga area on Tuesday, demanding marriage with her boyfriend and threatening to jump if his family did not agree to the union.

Police said the woman had in Aug last year lodged an FIR against the same youth and his family members over marriage. Senior cops and administrative officials were pacifying her till the last reports came in. Download the TOI App.
However, she on Tuesday reached Umaria Badal village by cycle and demanded that her marriage with the man be solemnised.
Dispute Over Marriage in Nawabganj Village
A woman from Bahiropur Kuda village in Nawabganj has reported a conflict regarding her impending marriage. She has been in a relationship with a 27-year-old local man for nearly two years. The woman asserts that her family is supportive of the marriage; however, the man’s family is opposing the union.
