Varanasi: The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU will host EMINDIA 2026, the 22nd All India Conference of Academic Emergency Medicine, from Sept 9 to 13. More than 500 delegates and faculty members from India and abroad are expected to attend the event.
The theme of the conference is ‘Strengthening ECO Services,’ with ECO representing Emergency, Critical Care and Operative Services.
The pre-conference programme will begin with a Skill Mela on Sept 9, followed by five specialised workshops on Sept 10, according to a BHU spokesperson. The main conference will be held on Sept 11 and 12. The workshops will focus on mechanical ventilation, eye emergencies, POCUS–Thoracic, POCUS-guided nerve blocks and obstetric emergencies. A key highlight of the event will be the two-day WHO CCET Stakeholder and Implementation Meeting, aimed at strengthening the Emergency, Critical Care and Operative Services ecosystem. Representatives from WHO, NITI Aayog , government institutions and other policymaking bodies will deliberate on developing an integrated, accessible and sustainable ECO-care ecosystem and converting policy recommendations into an actionable implementation roadmap.
