Chairperson Seema Dhomne alleged on Tuesday that the budget showed payment liabilities of 4.64 crore from 2025-26, while bills worth only 1.5 crore had actually been submitted so far. “The delay in presenting the zone budget is affecting development works and utilisation of the 20 crore sanctioned for the zone. Assistant commissioner Vilas Raibole, however, said the budget proposal was prepared on Aug 17 and submitted to Dhomne for her signature, but could not be forwarded to the committee secretary as she had not signed it. He clarified 4.64 crore liability related to works sanctioned in 2025-26, for which work orders had been issued but bills were submitted in the new financial year.
