Priced at Rs 6,999 and available exclusively via Headphone Zone, the FG3 is built around a coaxial dual‑driver system, a design rarely seen in gaming headsets at this price point. FiiO, known for fifteen years of HiFi audio innovation, has entered the gaming category with the launch of the FG3 gaming headset.

Behind the drivers sits a dual‑core DSP, a 192kHz/24‑bit DAC, and an 80mW headphone amplifier. Its custom 7.1 virtual surround activates only in Cinema and ACT, deliberately avoiding competitive modes where surround can blur positional cues. Adaptive UAC 1.0/2.0 switching ensures plug‑and‑play support across Windows PCs, smartphones, laptops, PS4/PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Most gaming headsets rely on a single full‑range driver, widening the soundstage through software. FiiO takes a different route: the FG3 uses two dynamic drivers—50mm and 16mm—mounted coaxially, with an electronic two‑way crossover splitting frequencies. The larger driver handles mids and lows (explosions, voices), while the smaller driver delivers crisp highs (footsteps, reloads). This single‑point source design preserves positional accuracy, a crucial advantage in competitive gaming. The architecture is tuned for low latency—ensuring surround and EQ processing never lags behind gameplay. The FG3 offers six audio modes: FPS, ACT, MOBA, MUG, Cinema and Music. Settings are managed through FiiO Control WEB—no software installation required. Users get a ten‑band EQ and saveable profiles directly on the headset. The detachable ENC microphone filters ambient noise and offers hardware‑processed sidetone for real‑time monitoring. The headset features a stainless‑steel headband, breathable woven mesh earpads, a foldable frame, and a braided Type‑C cable with USB‑A adapter.

Raghav Somani, founder & CEO of Headphone Zone, said the FG3 fills a long‑standing gap: “A proper gaming headphone from a serious audio brand at a price most gamers in India can actually pay. Get the latest technology news and updates. Download the TOI App.
