Agra: A 13-year-old boy was tied to a tree and brutally thrashed after accusing him of being a thief in Uttar Pradesh ’s Kasganj district, prompting a police investigation and the arrest of two men.
Based on the mother’s complaint, local police registered an FIR against four men—Kitab Singh, Satyapal Shakya, Nekram, and Dayaram—under relevant sections of BNS, including Section 115 (2) for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 352 for intentional insult, Section 351 for criminal intimidation, and Section 127 for wrongful confinement.
Kasganj DSP Amit Kumar said, “A written complaint was received regarding the assault by neighbours. The boy’s mother rushed to the scene upon learning of the incident and, with the assistance of several other villagers, managed to free her son. The attackers fled the spot while issuing threats. Upon reviewing the video, an FIR was promptly lodged under appropriate legal provisions. Two prime accused, Kitab Singh and Satyapal, were arrested.”
The incident happened on Tuesday in Nagla China village under Ganjdundwara police station limits, where a group of men confronted the teenager over alleged theft, subjected him to physical assault and hurled abuses at him.
