Agra: Five people, including a three-year-old girl and her 25-year-old father, were killed after a UP roadways bus allegedly rammed into two motorcycles near Bhaisna village on Baraut road in Muzaffarnagar district on Wednesday evening, police said.
The deceased were identified as Furman, 25, and his daughter Allo, both residents of Tamela Garhi in Baghpat; Furman’s brother-in-law Momin, 25, of Rajpur Garhi in Budhana; and Idrish, 70, and Sajid, 24, both residents of Kandhla in Shamli district. Police said the two motorcycles – one carrying Furman, Allo and Momin, and the other carrying Idrish and Sajid – were travelling in the opposite direction when the bus collided with them, leaving all five riders seriously injured. Residents alerted the police, who reached the spot and shifted the injured to the district hospital, where all five succumbed to their injuries during treatment, officials said. SP (rural) Akshay Mahadik said the bus has been seized, while the driver fled the spot.
