After months of silence, the woman at the center of one of the NFL’s biggest off-field controversies of 2026 may finally be ready to speak. Page Six reported that she is considering multiple opportunities as she prepares for a return to sports media this NFL season.
The former Athletic NFL insider plans to tell her side of the controversy surrounding New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, but only after she lands her next job, according to a new report. More importantly, a source familiar with the situation said Russini intends to speak publicly about the controversy once she accepts her next position. “We’ve moved on,” the Patriots coach said when asked about the findings.
Dianna Russini has remained largely silent since the Mike Vrabel controversy turned her NFL career upside down. Now, that may finally be about to change. The report also suggested she could take more than one job. What is clear, however, is that Russini’s next job may come with something far bigger than a simple NFL media comeback. And when she does, the Mike Vrabel story could be far from over. Russini responded with a brief statement, saying she stood by all of her reporting. Vrabel, meanwhile, has made it clear that he considers the matter behind him.
